Salt Scrub or Sugar Scrub?
It's a common question that I get A LOT!
What's the difference between a salt scrub and a sugar scrub?
Well...it's quite simple. So if you are bewildered you are not alone, many find themselves in this dilemma when choosing a scrub. Knowing the uses and benefits of salt vs sugar scrubs makes choosing the right scrub a breeze and you will soon be enjoying soft silky smooth exfoliated skin.
I always come back to this basic question – what is the difference between salt and sugar scrubs?
It all comes down to size, at the end of the day. Plain and simple!
Salt particles, which are larger and more abrasive create a stronger scrub, best for dry, rough areas like knees, elbows, and feet.
I told ya it was that simple! So whichever your preference, be sure not to use your scrub too often – over exfoliating can be damaging to the skin, especially the harsher salt scrubs.
So what I recommend for the best results is to stick to 2 – 3 times per week max for a sugar scrub and once a week for salt scrubs.
Both types of scrubs have an important place in your beauty routine and having both on hand can help you have vibrant, fresh, and baby smooth skin every day.
